Located across the Baltimore-Washington Parkway near Fort Meade, this new seven-story building provides 195,000 square feet of office space, including a 1,678-space parking garage. Baker’s role included planning, architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture. The exterior facade is comprised of precast concrete with a large percentage of curtain wall glazing, maximizing natural light into the building. Building 300 is comprised of three 35-foot bays with the service core located in the building’s central module. Incorporating many sustainable features, this building was designed to attain a LEED Silver rating. Building 300 was featured in a Wall Street Journal article entitled “The Business of Building Spy Buildings.”
