The US 49 Corridor is a heavily travelled area that connects the City of Jackson to the Gulf Coast. It route traverses through many small towns and communities with multiple access and safety issues.  Mississippi Department of Transportation selected Baker to develop an Environmental Impact Statement that fully explores all prudent alternatives for a bypass to this corridor that will alleviate regional congestion. When completed, the proposed route will be the first Public/Private Partnership toll road in the state of Mississippi.
