SAN DIEGO – July 31, 2012

Captain James Wink, CEC, USN (ret.), has joined RBF Consulting (RBF), a Company of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), as assistant office manager and vice president in San Diego, Calif.  Wink brings RBF over 25 years of experience and leadership worldwide in public works, engineering, construction and business management as a Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officer.

Wink served, most recently, as the executive officer of Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, where he managed daily operations for a 3,500-person organization with a $3.0 billion annual business volume. In this role, he provided engineering, construction, utilities management and facilities support to 20 military installations across six states in the southwestern United States.  Wink was commissioned in 1986 through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Rochester where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering.  He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland; is an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Program; and has completed the Kellogg Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University.

Wink is a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, a member of the Acquisition Professional Community, and a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Chapter of the Society of Military Engineers (SAME) and is a past president of that organization.

Wink’s role at RBF/Baker will include office management and leadership, client service, client relations, development of business, staff mentorship and participation in RBF’s Senior Leaders Forum.
